RCX - there are times when the customer requires more traditional approach

RCX is the only X-series product that does not include a display yet keeps all the benefits of an Ethernet enabled Hi Performance OCS.

Another advantage of using the RCX system is that it can be equipped with our fastest, most advanced Modular I/O system - SmartStack I/O.

Even though RCX has no screen, the process it controls can still be visualized, thanks to Envision RV and it's Virtual Screen feature!

Horner units without I/O - cost effective visualization solution

Did you know that our XL series (including the new XL10e) can be purchased without the I/O?

Yes, that's right. The unit still holds all the benefits of fully capable PLC and quality screen that comes in all sizes- Ideal for a remote screen for the RCX above.

It's Many protocol options allow it to be used with Third party devices like a regular HMI but with the benefits of an OCS.

To order non-IO version for XL series the part number should end with C100.

The way Horner supports SMS messages could not be better

Multiple incoming and outgoing messages can be preconfigured for handling different alarm situations. Each message can be equipped with many 'data fields', so only the latest data values are being sent out.

The alarm messages can be sent directly to your cell phone. Multiple phone numbers can be preconfigured or made dynamic, so you can change the recipients from the level of your OCS screen.

A solution that supplies the data transmission and seamlessly fits into existing building automation system

Horner PLC (in this case: XLt) can easily be connected to any network or building automation system. Data points like temperatures, quantity of energy produced and capacity of solar panels can be reported and stored for further analysis.

Don Hurley - Lead Technical Support Engineer

Don Hurley is our lead European Technical Support person. He studied electrical engineering then moved to Canada in the early nineties. He returned to Ireland where he joined the Horner team in 1998. After a year with the production and test teams he moved to the Technical Support department working with the CT and TIU range of products before Cscape/OCS were released in Europe. An advocate of the Horner policy of lifelong learning he has completed multiple extracurricular studies in his time with us and is currently completing a degree in information and communications technology.

"In the thirteen plus years that I have been with Horner I have seen the company grow as our product range has expanded and incorporated new technologies. It is important that my colleagues and I can continually adapt so as to provide the assistance required in this ever changing and complex industry. We provide a global technical support network and we pride ourselves on our efficient and flexible service.
