ZX Range - High Performance Colour Touch Screen Controllers (Metal Housing)
The ZX series is our largest, most powerful all-in-one
controller ever.
The ZX series contains advanced control capabilities,
high-resolution graphics, and plenty of connectivity options. Like
every OCS model ever made, the ZX is programmed using Cscape
application software. Both advanced ladder logic and full IEC
language sets are supported. For advanced ladder, the ZX is the
first OCS to feature online programme change -
where logic changes can be made "on-the-fly" without stopping or
pausing the logic scan. The ZX is also one of the fastest
controllers available on the market with 4x the logic and register
memory of a traditional OCS.
Communications options for any application
Two ultra fast Ethernet ports (1Gbit/s) with One dedicated to our capable Ethernet I/O ( SmartRail) segregates traffic on the other port (SCADA, ERP or Internet) from the I/O traffic and gives you the fastest OCS ever made. The ZX also supports faster CAN I/O (1Mbit/s) for Smartrail or at lower speeds for other I/O Systems ( Smartstix , SmartBlock) a second CAN port is planned for future expansion. ZX has two or three serial ports with Modbus and Third Party Protocol support. The built-in web-server offers the system designer a light-weight alternative to more complex SCADA systems. The FTP server allows system administrators to upload new recipe data and new web pages as well as download the latest datalogs.
Plenty of Connectivity
Each ZX features multiple USB ports, supporting Removable FLASH
drives. These can be used for data logging, field application
updates, recipe management, and a variety of other functions.
Multiple serial ports support RS-232 and RS-485 on Modbus and our
Third Party protocols, to maintain connectivity with the multitude
of serial devices existing in a factory environment.
