The OCS400, 500 and 600 series adds large screen, high reolution colour-touch screens to the OCS product line. The new Large screen Colour-Touch OCs prodicts feature 800x600 resolution, over 32,000 colours, a standard Ethernet port, a CompactFlash (CF) slot and seven function keys. I/O options include SmartStack I/O using the fibre optic FOX I/O sustem and the new SmartStix I/O. the Windows-based programming software allows easy portability of newly developed application aming all SVGA models, providing effortless scalability.

OCS (Operator contro Stations) combines a logic controller, operator interfae, network and I/O in a highly integrated package, reducing installation cost, development time and hardware cost. its dual processor design offers high-speed performance fotr both control and operator interface functionaliities, unlike competitive products that sacrifice one or the other. All OCs products are programmed using Cscape programming language that combines ladder logic programming and the graphical operator interface development system.

the operator interface used in the large screen Colour-touch OCs series is an SVGA clolur LCD display (TFT) witha a resistive 8.4", 10.4" or 12.1" touchscreen. It has one dedicated and seven configurable function keys, offering the advantages of both a touchscreen and a function key based display. for advanced applications requiring motion video, an audio/video option is available at an added cost. this option provides four NTSC video inputs and one audio input/output.. in addition to the application graphics, live video from any NTSC source (camera, VCR, video sensor) can be shown on the display.

I/O, Communications Options for Any Application

Choose SmartStack I/O, SmartStic i/O or use both with a Colour-Touch OCS. Accomodate up to 20 SmartStack I/O modules using the fiber optic FOX I/O system or use SmartStix, a terminal block style I/O for application requiring large numbers of remote digital I/O. SmartStix I/O connects to any colour-touch OCS CsCAN network port. in addition to the CsCAN port that also allows you to network OCS units, there are many other communication connectors. An Ethernet TCP/IP port supports several industrial protocols including Modbus/TCP, CsCAN over Ethernet and Ethernet Global Data. Three serial ports support Modbus/RTU slave and master, ASCII Read/Write and CsCAN serial protocol.
